Noble
I've been saying a long time that at best he is championship material, very poor, loses the ball and sprays the odd pass about but apart from that nothing, wekens the midfield and last night it was so lightweight,if he was not local would not get within a mile of team,England 😂😂😂😂😂 I know they picked some shit but really?

Noble is better than Fernandes, not sure why people think Fernandes should start before Noble

Chelsea and Spurs still to come at home, lets hope they don't roll over for those games mate

Re: Noble
Yeah might be just one of those things... strange that in the 100 odd years at the Boleyn that we never had just one of those things v City (twice) and the Goons... but yeah... hopefully just one of those things

Re: Noble
has to have a bearing sold albeit maybe we've proven difference on away pitches of a similar size

these thrashings at home by city and arsenal maybe just one of those things

perhaps we need to beat someone like a west brom by a couple of goals to put some minds at rest

Re: Noble
Maybe.... just maybe... you never know.... our skip...might just prefer playing his football on a proper football pitch... in a proper football stadium??

Re: Noble
do we think the bigger pitch at home is a factor?

sounds daft but might be a reason?

Re: Noble
Surely Fernandes needs to be starting games now. It doesn't have to be with a view of replacing Noble as such, just providing better options all round.

Re: Noble
Is it? Would that be high championship? mid to high championship? mid championship? mid to low championship??

You're right, we are a mid PL team full of players who are championship level.

You cock.

Re: Noble
>>> He is mid to lower level Prem player. He is above Championship level.

I think mid to low Prem level is the same as the Championship pretty much.

Re: Noble
Josh Cullen could be the ideal replacement this time next year another 6 months on loan at a championship club in August then get him back in the January he looks top draw , Noble will also get 15 to 20 games a season and would be a great squad player but by next season i can see him struggling to be 1st choice.

Re: Noble
Noble is a good player. Sometimes excellent, sometimes poor, but overall just a good player.

He is mid to lower level Prem player. He is above Championship level.

As a squad member, he is massively important though. Which makes replacing him difficult. We do need an upgrade in his position if we are to challenge the top 6, but he clearly is a very important figure at the club.

Re: Noble
I like Fernandes, could grow into the role, needs better players around him though. Agree Obaing was poor against citeh but the midfield did not have any balance in it,they as soon as we had ball closed us down, should after the 5-0 have played five across the middle to combat them, they on their day are good but we made it too easy.

Re: Noble
He struggles with pace and always has. It only gets worse the older he now gets. Great technique, good vision and passing and awareness. He always works hard but simply cannot cover the ground quick enough in a midfield 4 when up against teams who play a pressing and possession game and move the ball at pace. That said, Obiang was also chasing shadows last Wednesday so it is sometimes a collective thing and tactical. Our midfield needs upgrading to cope with teams with pace. We saw it from the beginning of last season with early defeats at home. Its at home that it becomes a real problem as the onus is on us to attack and take the game to the opposition. We are easily picked off on the counter.

Noble is not the sole cause and Bilic playing 4 in midfield against City did not help but Nobes struggles more than most against teams like Arsenal, City etc.. Doesn't help that he isnot that big/tall. Thats why Gareth Barry has played on to a late age as he uses his physical strengths to compensate for a lack of pace. Its a tipping point for Noble soon where he cannot expect to start every game but we need a better option and we have not got one. Fernandes might be the answer longer term I suppose but seems a different type of player.

We need someone who can match is distribution and link up play but has pace and more strength? I was thinking someone like Delph (might want to actually play games) alongside Obiang but with Nobes coming on to change games?

Re: Noble
Mr Anon

This is I believe a forum,we are talking about someone who I believe is not good enough, I'm not like some digging him out for where he comes from but his (non) skill level, he amongst others imo are poor, after watching West Ham for 40 years I think my opinion is valid but only my opinion, life is far too important to worry about emotes,on a forum I use them to lighten up the story.
Coming from a footballing family I think I know a bit,if others like my friend eastendjoker disagree that's ok,it's about opinion, tbh I am getting fed up with digs like you have put, like the football sometimes it's tedious 😉

Did you not see Carroll's goal yesterday?

Re: Noble
Ironic Norwich bleats about people getting personal when the crux of his post is "our captain is shit, isn't it funny people think he should play for England HAHAHA"

That and the childish emotes is hardly going to inspire intelligent debate is it Norwich?

Noble was at his best yesterday as he was at Boro , seems a far better player away from home .

Re: Noble
Noble is better with players in front of him making runs, that's not Andy's game, but Antonio has been up front and Noble has been better, coincidence?
